After a few days of rushing around, completing work responsibilities, making certain the Boogie Woogie (the cat) is cared for and, on occasion, actually planning the trip, we are leaving for the airport soon. We should be in the air at 2:45 today and land in Pisa at 11 a.m. Monday. From there, we hope to manage the public transportation system (read: bus) to get to Lucca. We’ve got plans for our first day: bike ride around the ramparts
After a night in Lucca, we’ll go back to Pisa (this time by train) and look at the Leaning Tower. The actual self-guided walk begins Wednesday in Volterra (a train and bus ride).
We’ve plans to keep this blog updated along the way, but that will depend on internet access and how much wine we manage to consume.
