Planes, Boats & Automobiles

What a great day. It started off with the best Uber ride ever. Our driver, L.C., was in a good mood when he picked us up and he kept us laughing all the way to the airport. He told us he loves to travel, too. He said his wife of 38 years says if they hadn’t spent so much money on travel, they would be millionaires. He said instead they had millions of memories.
We decided L.C. stood for Lucky Charm.
After landing in Seattle and making our way to Pier 69, we boarded the Victoria Clipper, a catamaran ferry, to Victoria, Vancouver Island. It was a three-hour trip, and it was a great one. The weather was perfect, the sea calm and they served drinks. We got a great window seat with a table near the door to the deck, where we spent a lot of the trip. We watched Seattle disappear in the wake.
Once off the Clipper, we thought we would walk to our hotel, but that lasted about a block and then we flagged down a cab.
Yes, yes, we know we booked a walking tour to begin in two days.
