A Day At The Market

On Tuesday, we visited the Gordes for Market Day and had so much fun. There were stalls selling everything: cheese, wine, spices, sausages, hats, tablecloths, dishes, clothes, scarves….just everything. Betsy bought a great summer dress, a tablecloth for our apartment and a few other items. I picked up some jars of marinade/dips to take back to Nashville.

The town of Gordes is another ancient village that was interesting even without the market. We walked the streets and marveled at how beautiful it was.

The drive over took us over another mountain and more narrow roads, but Betsy did most of the driving this time and she’s fearless around those blind curves.

The weather heated up yesterday and we were back home by noon and in the pool. We spent the day here at the villa relaxing, swimming, reading and cooking and then had a wonderful dinner together with copious amounts of red wine.

Here’s our morning in Gordes

And our evening back home.
